Adrian Carrel discovered electronic music 15 years ago, an encounter that felt revolutionary in his isolated mountain hometown, where this soundscape simply didn’t exist.

At the time, he dived into EDM with teenage fervor, unaware that this initial curiosity, though naïve and rough-edged, would become a doorway into a deeper, lifelong exploration of sound.

As he grew, so did his need for nuance. He moved away from formulaic structures and began shaping a more personal sonic language, one that could carry ambiguity, texture, and silence.

The turning point came with his involvement in the Otium collective, where artistic exchange, experimentation, and collaboration helped refine both his craft and his perspective.

Over time, his work became a dialogue between internal states and bold sound design, mixing glitches, low-end pressure, and tactile atmospheres to give form to what’s often hard to express.

Beyond his solo music under the name Mentome Moir, Adrian collaborates regularly with filmmakers, visual artists, and institutions, crafting sonic textures that support, question, or subtly transform the narratives they accompany.
This practice of close listening and translation extends to education as well: he shares his approach through workshops, residencies, and masterclasses grounded in accessibility, care, and creative empowerment.

In parallel, he continues to shape his artistic identity. His EP Haze explores the search for self with raw honesty—reflecting both personal and musical transformation, and the turbulent energy required to initiate lasting change. With Afterburn, he delves deeper into emotional aftershocks, capturing the moment when transformation becomes routine, and questioning what comes next.

His upcoming EP Blueprint, set to be released on the legendary Bedroom Research label, offers a more fragmented and instinctive approach. Built from a raw, unfiltered sonic palette, it mirrors the erratic way his mind processes the world, a confident yet anxious work, unpolished by design and deeply personal.
